Beauty of an Imperfect Marriage
By Angie Lewis Is there such a thing as a perfect marriage? Are you living in an idyllic marriage with a perfect spouse? The newness and euphoria of a new marriage is what I call the storybook relationship. The relationship is going great because both husband and wife are doing things to please each other. You know about each others faults but you dont seem to care. The romance level is at a peak, which keeps you both attentive to each others needs. But what happens after two or more years of marriage? Eventually habits and faults and self-seeking escapades come out in the open. Now what? Well, thats just it. Now what? The problem is not that your spouse has faults and habits, or that you have faults or habits, the problem is that neither of you seek The Master Designer of marriage for the answers you need. You try and handle your marriage issues under the understanding of what you know. What do you know? You know that your feelings tell you negative things about your spouse. Your feelings tell you that your marriage problems are your spouses fault because you dont have any faults. Your feelings tell you to stand proud and not humble yourself. Im not talking about troubles such as physical and mental abuse, or addictions, Im talking about just day-to-day quandaries within the framework of the marriage. If you cant forgive then you arent accepting the person you married. This is one of the reasons for the high rate of divorce. Couples just give up because they dont want to feel what they feel about their spouse. Ironically, you are making yourself feel bad because you wont forgive. No person is perfect, as a matter of fact; we are very imperfect individuals no matter how hard we try to be perfect. This is why we have to work at our marriage. This is why our imperfections cannot stay hidden for long. This is why God brought us His Son to the world! So we could learn to be patient with one another and forgive. Marriage is the one relationship that craves forgiveness almost daily. If Jesus Christ has forgiven us with all of our imperfections and sinful habits, how much more should we forgive the person we married? Did you know that when couples learn to humble themselves to God that is when they learn to humble themselves to the person they married? Bear with each other and forgive whatever grievances you may have against one another. Forgive as the Lord forgave you. (Colossians 3:13) If we dont want to work at being a loving and forgiving person, then we shouldnt get married. Our spouse is imperfect. Nothing on this earth is going to change that imperfection, so we ought to strive to love one another through the bad times as well as the good. This is what marriage is all about. We are never going to be perfect people, but we can work at being better marriage partners by accepting the forgiveness and love we have been given through the suffering and death of our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This is what actually heals a persons heart to be patient and forgiving in an imperfect marriage, and to be loving and supportive with an imperfect spouse. In Jesus we have redemption through his blood, the forgiveness of sins, in accordance with the riches of Gods grace. (Ephesians 1:7) If marriage were made perfect we would never have to forgive our spouse. If our spouse were perfect then Jesus Christ would not have had to suffer and die for our imperfections. But as it is, married people should choose to forgive one another and live according to Gods will for marriage. Marriage can be a very satisfying relationship when couples choose to be supportive with each other and forgive. That is the beauty of the imperfect marriage. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, This is the way, walk in it. (Isaiah 30:21) New Release! Love The Woman You Married, the companion book to Love The Man You Married. This book explores several main issues that are involved in preserving a happy and purposeful marriage, mainly the areas of submission and spiritual authority. Why are women afraid to submit to their husbands spiritual influence? Over the years, society has turned this issue into something women should fear. Submission is not about control or power like many would like to believe, but about love. Submission is love; if it were anything else than it would not be true submission.

Ancient Eastern Exercise Cures Osteoporosis
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Frank_Lam_Sheung] Frank Lam Sheung If you know anything about the debilitating bone disease called osteoporosis will also know that it is incurable. You would know that this disease extracts calcium from the bones making them brittle over time. No matter how much calcium you try to supplement your diet with your body cannot absorb it. Up until the time she was diagnosed with osteoporosis Joan Foo had lost 40% of her bone density as a result of the disease. After the diagnosis and feed up with living a sedentary life, fate would have her attending a Qi gong class. This was the turning point in her life. After one year of practicing Qi gong, doctors were dumb founded and flabbergasted to see that not only had the condition stopped, it had reversed itself. Qi gong pronounced, (chi kung) evolved from peasants who after a long hard days work in the hot sun would retire at night and enjoy the cool night air after the heat of the day As they wound down and relaxed they became aware of an energy around them, which they could move around their bodies and was somehow related to their breathing and to the mind. This energy exists whether you believe it or not. Chinese sages would call it life-force or chi. You can feel this energy without knowing too much about qi gong. One way to do this would be to hold your hands directly in front of you with your palms facing down. Now visualize water flowing from the top of your shoulders to the tips of your fingers and beyond, almost like when youre in the shower and water is flowing down your arms and out of your fingertips. If you visual water flowing out of your fingers for 20 seconds or so you will feel a tingly sensation in your hands, or they will become warm. You will feel the intensity grow in your hands by taking a deep breath for the count of 2 and then exhaling for 6. Now that you are aware of this energy, you will find that by moving and breathing a certain way this energy can rid you of headaches, backaches, depression, hangovers, and a whole range of other aliments. The body with millions of cells knows exactly how to heal itself. Qi gong provides the method for the body to do it. If you have 5 or 10 minutes a day you can do Qi gong. Atkins Diet Results Are In & Some People Aren't Going To Like Them
By Michael Callen According to a report I read at FoxNews.com (http://foxnews.webmd.com/content/article/102/106544.htm), researchers have come to some conclusions that are sure to create a firestorm of controversy. Researchers took ten obese patients into the most controlled of environments - an actual live-in study - where they closely monitored everything that they consumed, their weight gain or loss, water-weight gain or loss, and their blood glucose and cholesterol levels. The premise of the study was to evaluate how an Atkins-like low carbohydrate diet actually works, or more specifically, why it works. The patients were to eat whatever they wished for the first seven days of the study. This period of time was used to determine their typical diet and caloric intake. Absent any guidelines, the patients consumed an average of 3,100 calories per day. For the next two weeks, the patients were told to follow a low-carb diet. In this case, the patients were allowed to consume 20 grams per day of carbohydrate, but then they could consume as much protein and fat as they wished. At the end of the two-week period, the patients lost an average of 3.6 pounds each and their blood levels normalized. But what about the low-carbohydrate diet caused them to lose weight? Interestingly, though they were not given calorie restrictions, the patients inadvertently cut their caloric intake by a whopping one-third. On average, the patients consumed only 2,100 calories per day while on the low-carbohydrate diet. Researchers concluded that it's not what you are eating, but how many calories you are consuming that determines whether you experience weight gain or weight loss. Hmmm... that makes sense. This is exciting news for those of us fighting the battle of the bulge. The implications are that structure; almost any structure, can result in a reduction in calories, and hence, weight loss. There is a downside, but the well-informed weight loss warrior can overcome this hurdle if he or she is armed with the power of knowledge. The problem is that people do not seem to stick with a program even though it is working for them. Researchers surveyed people who participated in four of the top-rated diet plans. After one year, only half of the respondents were still on the Atkins and Ornish diets, while about two-thirds of the Weight Watcher and Zone Diet participants were still in compliance. Persistence loses out to boredom. So, how can we benefit from this information? Two things are clear when analyzing this information. The first thing is that structure results in a reduced caloric intake. Whether it's low-carb or low fat, when you watch what you eat, you tend to eat less and lose weight. The second thing (and this is the key to long-term success) is that you should plan to switch, or switch your plans. The lack of variety may cause many participants to "fall off the wagon" ... even though they may be experiencing success. Map out a course that you can live with. Try to use a certain plan for six months and then another for the next six months. If that works well, repeat it again for a year. For others, it might be easier to follow a seasonal plan. Three-month stints on each of four different diets might add the variety that you need to stick with your plan. However you map out your future, be encouraged by this study. Ten people began a study. Three weeks later, they emerged weighing less and having stabilized their blood levels. They reduced their caloric intake by nearly one-third, and didn't miss anything. This is the kind of behavior from which we can all benefit. Save the Date Etiquette: Everything You Need To Know
By Edna Renskers Save the Date Cards are announcements that inform your guests of your future wedding in order to keep your special day free. They are essential in the following situations: if many of your guests are traveling to your wedding, your wedding takes place on or around a holiday, you are planning a faraway destination wedding, or your wedding will take place in a seasonally busy or tourist locale, where the flights and hotels perhaps book up early. They are generally sent at least 4-6 months prior to your wedding but, if you are planning a destination wedding, for example Hawaii it is strongly recommended that you send them 12 months in advance if not longer. For seasonally busy and tourist locales or on or around a holiday it is best to send them 9-12 months in advance. Your guests will then have ample time to make all the necessary arrangements needed to be a part of your special celebration and may even extend it into a vacation of their own. Use your imagination, Save the Date Cards are not meant to be formal. There are many design options available. You can have them match your wedding invitations, magnets, brochure style, post card size, multiple layers, booklet style, you can add a picture of you and your fianc, or embellishments to add a personal touch. Here are some guidelines on what your cards should state, your names, date of wedding, city or town and state of where wedding will take place. Also, because Save the date Cards are a recent trend and many that have not attended a wedding recently may mistaken them for the actual invitation be sure to include something along the lines of, Invitation to follow, Invitation and details to follow, Invitation will follow this is usually placed at the bottom of the card. For more wording suggestions visit www.verseit.com. If you have a wedding website dont forget to include the address for your guests to view. If you need to keep your guest list to a minimum, make a list of close family and friends whom you want to make sure will be able to attend and mail them a Save the Date Card, you do not need to send Save the Date Cards to everyone you are inviting but, every guest that receives a Save the Date Card must also receive an invitation. We recommend providing your guests with additional information to help facilitate their planning such as airline, car rental, hotel, information on things to see and do in the area and surrounding areas, special events, theatrical shows etc. Go the extra mile and acquire group discounts by calling specific companies and seeing if they offer group discounts. Why Use Bridging Finance?
By Ken Barnes Traditionally Bridging Finance, or Bridging Loan as it is also known, has been used to 'bridge' the financial gap between the sale of one property and the purchase of another. Allowing borrowers to purchase the second property before selling their existing property. Numerous other uses for Bridging Finance include - Allowing Buy to Let investors achieve a discount for a faster completion
Auction purchases, where funds are required quickly to complete the purchase
Entrepreneurs requiring a quick injection of cash to fund a new business opportunity
Property developers, utilizing the speed of Bridging loan to quickly buy and sell on a property Fast Cash When You Need It Most The traditional mortgage application route is well known for the snails pace at which it can sometimes operate. At the speed we live in today's postmodern age this can be a very frustrating state of affairs. The property market has numerous opportunities but many can be left on the shelf. Either through the chain collapsing or the lender not having funds in place quickly enough. To add to this a discount on a property is a definite possibility if funding can be arranged quickly enough. Bridging Finance is a fast and easy solution to all these headaches. But why is this? It's very simple. Bridging Finance tends to be 'Non-Status'. Lenders consider the type and quality of the property as security as a measure of the lending possibility. Unlike traditional lending bridging underwriters are generally looking at minimum lending terms of between 3 months, 6 months or 12 months. But some lenders are even more flexible in this regard and will lend with no minimum period on the loan. Lending is available at up to 75% LTV (Loan-To-Value), in some cases 85% LTV may be available. Apart from credit checks, the non-status factor is the same as mainstream non-status lending. The benefit is that the decision to lend is very much faster. A Short Term Solution Bridging Finance can bridge a financial gap. But it should never really be considered a permanent solution. A more permanent solution in the form of a regular mortgage should be considered if the property is to be held on to long-term. Or in the case of a more speculative investment the borrower will sell the property to make a quick profit. Bridging Finance is flexible in another way. In terms of the redemption date it can set as both 'open' with no definite end to the loan, or 'closed' with a set redemption date. It is advisable to only use the open variety when you are confident of the sale of a property or the replacing of the loan with a more long-term finance solution. Bridging Finance remains the fastest and most appropriate loan type for making a property purchase quickly. Looking for UK Bridging Finance? Commercial Lifeline are Bridging Finance specialists. Acupuncture - Why is it a Good Form of Alternative Treatment
By Kerris Samson You will find that most modern acupuncturists now use disposable stainless steel needles of a diameter of about 0.18 to 0.51 mm and which have been sterilized using either ethylene oxide or an autoclave machine. The upper third of the needle is wound round with a thicker wire (normally bronze) or is covered in plastic, which helps to stiffen the needle and provide a handle which the acupuncturist can hold whilst inserting the needles. It all depends on what style of acupuncture is being practiced as to the size and type of needle used as well as the depth to which the needle is inserted. Sometimes the warming of an acupuncture point by moxibustion (or the burning of mugwort) is a different form of treatment to acupuncture and is often, though not exclusively used as a supplemental treatment. The Chinese term of Zhen jig which is commonly used to refer to acupuncture come from the word Zhen meaning needle and Jiu meaning moxibustion. Moxibustion is still used today in varying degrees in the many schools of oriental medicine and one well known technique still being used is the insertion of the needle at the desired acupuncture point and then dried mugwort is attached to the external end of the needle and ignited. What happens is that the mugwort will smolder for several minutes (all depending on how much has been put on the needle) and the heat produced will be conducted through the needle to the tissue around that needle in the patients body. Another method that some practitioners will use is that they hold a large glowing stick of moxa above the needles and occasionally the moxa will actually be burned on the skins surface, however a layer of ointment will be applied to the skin so as to protect it from getting burnt. Today many people who suffer from vascular headaches (those that are accompanied by a throbbing sensation around the veins in the temple) will typically treat it with an analgesic such as aspirin or by other agents that help to dilate the affected blood vessels in the scalp. But acupuncture is now becoming a common treatment for such headaches by the use of stimulating the sensitive points that are located roughly in the center of the webs between a persons thumb and the palm of their hand (the he gu points). These points are noted in acupuncture theory as being the ones for targeting the face and head and are considered to be the most important points when having to treat disorders that affect a patients face and head. The patient is placed in a reclined position and the points on each hand are sterilized with alcohol and then the acupuncturist will insert the needles to a depth of about 3-5mm until the patient feels a twinge and is sometimes accompanied by a slight twitching in the area between the thumb and hand. In fact most patients will tell you that they feel a pleasurable tingling sensation in this area and also feel relaxed whilst the needles are inserted. The needles are left inserted in the patient for 15-20 minutes as the patient rests and then they will be removed. However, some patients frequently report that one or more certain kinds of sensation are being felt that are associated with this treatment and these sensations are stronger than those that would normally be felt by a patient not suffering from vascular types of headaches. Such as: An extreme sensitivity to pain at the points in the webs of the thumbs. A bad headache, including a feeling of nausea which usually last for as long as the stimulation is being administered to the particular points in the webs of the thumbs. An immediate relief of the headache. Plus one added benefit of using this form of treatment is not having to take drugs which can have side effects that could actually cause more problems rather than cure them. Kerris Samson a work from home mum now residing in Spain and who has spent a vast amount of researching the different ways in which acupuncture can help in place of conventional western medicine when treating various forms of illness and ailments and also for use to relieve pain. Car Loans - Shop Around, Compare Offers, and Watch The Small Print
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Roy_Thomsitt]Roy Thomsitt Getting a loan to buy your new car is, you would probably think, straightforward. However, there are a few apparently small variations which can be actually cost you a lot of money. So, it is worthwhile checking any loan offer, including the small print, for details that may distinguish the desirability of one loan over another. In the US, about 90% of all auto loan offers are based on simple interest. A simple interest loan means that the interest is computed only on the original principal of the loan. There are some lenders who are offering loans which are not simple interest. It is best never to agree to an auto loan that is not a simple interest loan. Another thing to bear in mind when considering an auto loan is pre-payment penalties. If such a penalty is built into the loan contract, the lender will penalize you, by charging a fee, if you pay the loan off early, whether through refinancing or by any other means. So, if you think it is likely you will want to refinance at some time during the life of the car loan, this is clearly an important consideration. Remember, it is always easiest and least costly, when refinancing a simple interest auto loan with no prepayment penalties. Avoid a Pre-Computed Auto Loan Some lenders offer auto loans that are not simple interest loans at all, but pre-computed loans. These types of loans may be "sold" especially by smaller lenders and car dealers. The people pushing these finance deals often target high risk borrowers, or quite simply the ignorant. If you have read this, you are no longer ignorant, even if you were, but if you are a high risk borrower, then watch out for these auto deals on loans. Here are the reasons: 1. If you sign on the dotted line for this type of car loan, you are legally committed to paying back the full principal balance of the loan as well as the total amount of all interest that would accrue over the life of the loan. 2. If you agree to such a pre-computed auto loan, and then wish to pay it off early, either through refinancing or another means, the lender will usually use an outdated and expensive formula, known as the rule of 78s', to calculate a rebate of finance charges. Through this rebate you will pay a very hefty fee for paying the loan off early. This type of loan allows the lender to apply more of the payment to interest and less to the principal balance of the loan. A pre-computed auto loan allows the lender to collect the majority of the interest due during the first half of the loan repayment period. Shop Around For The Best Offer If the first lender that you speak to is not offering a simple interest auto loan, with no pre-payment penalties, at a competitive interest rate, then you would be wise to walk away. There are many other lenders keen to compete for your car loan financing. With record low interest rates, and the global lenders marketplace being created by the internet, there is a very competitive lending market. In other words, its a buyers market! And you, fortunately, are a buyer. Have a good shop around for the best deal: newspaper ads, internet, your bank, and the auto dealer. When checking with the auto dealer, remember to take into account any trade off between loan and price of the auto. Also, remember not to just compare interest rates, but to look for hidden fees and transfer balances that my not be apparent at first glance. By thoroughly investigating all of your options, you should get the auto loan that is best for you now and, just as importantly, into the future! Graduation Theme Party Ideas for Your Graduate
By Gail Leino Receiving a diploma is a coming-of-age ritual that deserves some attention and that is why a Graduation theme party is such a great idea. Whether your special someone has graduated from grade school, high school, or college, they have passed a milestone in life that should never go unnoticed. While hosting a graduation theme party for a younger child is not much different than throwing a birthday party or other random get-together, having a guest list of adults and young adults can be just a bit trickier to plan. For the high school or college graduate there tends to be a guest list that includes everyone from Grandma, Uncle Mo and his wife Jane, to half (or more!) of the graduating class. A wide variety of ages and interests to say the least. One way to handle such a diverse crowd of people is to make sure that your decorations and food are excellent. This provides a common thread for discussion regardless of who is trying to talk to who. You can find a great selection of graduation theme party decorations at your favorite on-line party supplier. They will definitely have more options and better prices than your local discount stores and the quality, as always will be great. Then, plan a menu that will not only feed a small army without requiring you to sell the farm, but will please many different types of eaters. For example, how about a taco/nacho bar with different levels of heat available in salsa. The selections could include fish, ground beef, and chicken meat and then lots of other extras like beans, cheeses (different types please!), lettuce, tomato, onions, olives, jalapenos, sour cream, and guacamole. Nacho cheese melt can be kept warm and ready and a nice variety of tortilla chips will add to the fun of a build-your-own set-up. For activities, play a nice variety of music or even better, consider having a karaoke player set up for any and all (young and old) who may want to give it a shot. One fun activity might be to have some pictures of the favorite and less favorite teachers of your graduate available for a whipped cream pie or water balloon throwing contest. Or, if the crowd is predominantly older, darts. All those years of pent-up frustration at busy work and silly homework assignments. Be sure to put a power point presentation together with some appropriately embarrassing pictures of the guest of honor and the team of amigos that have always been around. This will ensure some good natured ribbing, and a lot of laughs as everyone sees how they have evolved from youngsters entering kindergarten to the big bad graduates they are today. Mrs. Party... Gail Leino takes a common sense approach to planning and organizing events, celebrations and holiday parties with unique ideas for birthday party supplies and fun free educational party games. She explains proper etiquette and living a healthy life while also teaching organizational skills and fun facts. The Party Supplies Hut has lots of party ideas with hundreds of free coloring sheets, printable games, and free birthday party activities. Over 100 adorable Party Themes to fit your birthday celebration, holiday event, or "just because" parties is at the Party Theme Shop. Medical Transcription as an Employee
By Diana Owen There is a lot on the internet about starting your own medical transcription business and that is a wonderful idea! But did you know you can work from home as an employee? Many people do not want to have to contact doctors and hospitals to obtain their own clients. This is why being an employee is so attractive. It is sometimes difficult to get your own clients if you live in smaller cities or rural areas. There usually isn't much employment at all in rural and smaller areas without commuting a good distance to find work. If you are an experienced transcriptionist and generally have around two years experience, you could be hired by the many companies in the United States that will provide the work for you. Many of these companies have health insurance, 401K, life insurance and other benefits. Another advantage is if you move anywhere you can take your job with you and that truly is a luxury. Although the pay is somewhat less than it would be if you had your own business, you can make a good living from transcription at home with a company providing you the transcription work and avoid all the headaches of self employment taxes, paying for your own benefits, etc., that come with starting your own transcription business. Working from home as an employee is a very good option, when starting your own business is not feasible because of your location and when the extra work of running a business comes into play. Diana Owen, MT If you would like more information, visit my website at =>http://www.medical-transcription-home.com The author has worked from home as an employee for 10 years and has written an ebook titled "Medical Transcription at Home". Losing a Career When You're Moving for Love
By Cathy Goodwin Those who watched HBO's Sex and the City (SATC, now available on DVD) know the last eight episodes were less about sex and more about city. And the last three episodes, taken together could serve as a case study for a decision faced by many clients Should I follow my heart or hang on to my job? Whether you want to move to be closer to aging parents, or follow a lover into a new life, the stakes are extremely high. Some people really do live happily ever after, but others end up divorced, broke, and stuck in a place they really hate. Here are some tips to become part of the first group and avoid the second. 1. Test the move. Before selling your home, resigning from your job, giving up your apartment, or getting a visa, spend time in your future environment and watch for changes in yourself and your relationship. SATC fans noticed that Carrie's lover, Alexander, began to act differently once he was on his own turf. And a two-week Paris vacation would have saved her lots of misery (although the story would be less fun to watch). 2. Recognize that relationship dynamics will change once you've moved. A common scenario: Hal and Sallie fell in love and married while both were in graduate school. Hal was offered a tenure-track position at Prestige U on the west coast; Sallie was offered a similar job at Elite U the east coast. Sallie considers giving up her own career to follow Hal. After all, she reasons, she can start a part-time job at Prestige U and who knows? Hal and Sallie met and married as professional and financial equals. They earned small stipends as graduate assistants but the stipends were identical. Now Hal emerges as the major breadwinner. Sallie might rejoice in her freedom to pursue creative interestr that would not be possible on the tenure track. Hal might proudly embrace his role as family provider. Maybe they would have children and Sallie would be a stay-at-home mom. But let's move to a parallel universe. Hal resents being the major breadwinner. Now that Sallie's bringing in far less money, he wants her to do more around the house. He's gone a lot, attending meetings and colloquia where Sallie's not welcome, even though she's at least his equal in scholarship. Sallie doesn't really want new creative outlets: she wants to pursue academic research, and once she's branded as a part-time "adjunct," that route will be closed to her at this university. 3. Replace "sacrifice" with "strategize:" find creative ways to join head and heart. While researching my book on moving, I talked to Joyce, who'd moved to Texas to be closer to her growing grandchildren. After a few months, Joyce reported, the novelty wore off. The grandchildren had their own friends. Soon they'd outgrow baby-sitters and begin charging the neighbors to mind children, pets and lawns. She could go to their games and performances, but what would she do the rest of the time? I've met at least half a dozen people who moved to spend more time with their relatives only to discover, after the move, that the relatives were doing just fine, thank you very much! Even after begging you to come, they realize they didn't know what they really wanted. Long-distance relationships can be brutal -- but it's not much easier to feel like a fourth-class professional while your spouse's career soars into the stratosphere. And if you build a name and reputation on the east coast, after awhile you may be able to move to the west coast, on your own terms and in your own right. 4. Discover flexible options that you're willing to consider. Ursula "trailed" her successful new husband from Chicago to Los Angeles. Before moving, she decided she was willing to abandon her own highly successful career in market research and begin a new career in sales. At first, Ursula seemed to be failing miserably. She had little aptitude for sales but she really loved the "click" when someone said yes. And she believed deeply in her product. Encouraged by her husband, Ursula persisted and, five years after the move, became "Salesperson of the Year" in her firm. Not everyone is cut out to be an Ursula and not everyone lands in a lucrative alternative career. Bill, with a PhD in history, decided he could find happiness as an underpaid, overworked adjunct professor, focusing on teaching rather than research. He grew to love teaching and working with students, while his wife built a lucrative career as a vice president in a financial management firm. When you know you'll be moving for one partner's goals, often the second partner chooses a portable career: freelancing, coaching, computer programming. Portable careers often require an initial investment in one location, where you build relationships with potential clients and employers. But they often bring new rewards and open doors to exciting adventures. 5. Begin with honesty. Once you recognize you don't want to move, or you really resent giving up your career, you can begin to focus on solutions. I often encourage partners to visit a couples counselor to deal with the emotional challenges. Denying feelings can lead to a major collapse of the job or the relationship. Opening up can lead to creative synergies you never anticipated. And you may feel deeply relieved to learn your demanding family really doesn't mind if you remain in your job, two thousand miles away. Family Dinners Keep the Connection Strong
By Lisa Berman Do you feel like it's a challenge to connect with your children? Are you feeling tired of being on the treadmill? Are you running every which way with everyone's activities? Family dinners are one way to foster a connection with your children and to slow down the hectic pace so many of us are caught in. Family dinners are an everyday way to strengthen family bonds, find out what is going well for our children, and what they are struggling with. It is an opportunity for family members to sit down, face-to-face, and connect in a genuine way. It provides a sense of belonging that so many children desperately need. Family dinners are an opportunity for young children to learn and practice communication skills, the give and take of conversation, and the reinforcement of appropriate table manners. Young people can take great pride in participating in household responsibilities. The daily tasks of setting and clearing the dinner table, and meal preparation help children understand that the family is a community within itself. Family meal time provides an opportunity for teenagers to interact with their parents in a relaxed atmosphere and demonstrates open lines of communication. Studies show the more often teens eat with their family the less likely they are to smoke, drink, or use drugs and the more likely they are to do well in school. Recognize it is difficult to find a time for the entire family to sit together and parents need to be creative in how to make it happen. One parent may need to delay dinner to accommodate a teen's later schedule. Asking open-ended questions such as "Who did you play with on the playground?" or "What was the best part of your day?" will elicit answers that lend themselves to conversation. Open-ended questions are great for any age and encourage children to become involved in a dialogue around the dinner table. Remember to leave out criticisms, negative comments and focus on making this a relaxing, enjoyable time. Family dinners that are practiced several times a week will provide support and stability for the entire family. Turn off the TV and radio. Opt for a weekend breakfast or a Sunday afternoon dinner. At first there may be resistance, but continue to make this an enjoyable gathering and in time your family will look forward to this shared time. Cash Til Payday Loans - When Is The Best Time To Get A Quick Cash Loan
By [http://ezinearticles.com/?expert=Carrie_Reeder]Carrie Reeder There are times when a cash advance loan or payday loan may be a good way to get you out of a tight, financial scrape. There are times when a payday loan may be a wise decision. Keep in mind, this is assuming that you definitely have the ability to pay back the loan right away. Here are some examples of times when using a payday loan might be a good idea: 1. If the late fee on not making the payment that you would need to make, would be more than the fee for taking out a payday loan. 2. When, if you dont make the needed payment on time, it could hurt your credit. Your credit is something you cannot erase. Having the payment show up late on your credit, can make it harder for you to obtain a loan for years, while a fee for a payday loan is only temporary. 3. When there is a much more serious, long-term consequence to not paying for your immediate need, more serious than a $30-50 fee. 4. To save yourself from bounced checks, the fees for bounced checks can quickly total much more than the fee for taking out the cash advance loan. The bottom line is, you want to make sure before you take out a payday loan that you are doing it for the right reasons. The only major consequence to a payday loan is the fee incurred. If having the money right then can get you out of a much more serious bind than a $30-50 fee, then it is probably a good solution to a temporary problem. The times when a payday loan would not be wise, would be to make an impulse purchase or to have some extra money, when it is not absolutely crucial to have it. The reason for that is that the fees on a cash advance or payday loan, are small for just a few weeks, but if, for any reason you are unable to pay the loan back right away, those fees can add up very quickly and make it more and more difficult to pay the loan back. So, you want to make sure that you are using the loan to pay for a necessity. So, if you are sure that you have enough money coming in to pay back the loan, and in the long run, getting the cash advance or payday loan will either save you money or keep you from serious or long term consequences, then it is probably best to get the loan. Churchless Christianity: A Move of God?
By Michael Tummillo There's another "move of God" that's sweeping the nations. Have you noticed? Very few of those I've spoken with actually have. There are others who don't necessarily view it as being a literal "movement" because it's not quite as defined as they like. Not to mention those who don't particularly approve of God "moving" in this direction. But as one British minister said to me several years ago, addressing all the controversies revolving around every new thing God has done since Genesis, "There's never been a tidy move of God." Never. Just as the Egyptian magicians were able to mimic Moses when his rod was turned into a snake, Satan is STILL duplicating and infiltrating whenever possible, muddying up the purity of the flowing river of God, deceiving "even the elect" of Christ's Kingdom. And successfully dissuading many a curious onlooker from diving in as a result of the disjointedness of The Body of Christ. What is this move of God? It's the incredible mass exodus, the numbers of people who are leaving organized Christianity at an alarming rate, and the ministers who are either leaving the faith, or are ceasing to believe in the inerrancy of God's Word (in a moment well see if these are really men of God at all). Fact is, what most theologians and church people see as a horrific trend, may well be a mighty move of God's Spirit. And when the wind of the Spirit begins to blow, Wisdom cries out for us to adjust our sails. Let me explain. Very simply, Jesus wants His Church back. It's His Bride. Sadly, this lovely young woman has been made a prostitute with Religion as its Master. She was never intended to be structured, organized, or institutionalized. She's an organism, not an organization. A living, breathing entity, not a cyborg to be programmed by a pious, human chain-of-command. Just as Christianity was once seen as a radical move among Judaism, I see this "Churchless Christianity" phenomenon as a move of God within the Church itself. THE FACTS People are leaving organized churches in Biblical proportions; at a rate of 53,000 a week in Europe and North America combined (the U.S. lost 57,500 in the entire Vietnam War, to put that number in perspective). As a whole, Christians lose 7,600 a day to other religions or irreligion. I hear from these people all the time by eMail. Incidentally, several years ago a leading Bible seminary sent 12,000 letters to pastors of various denominations and asked one question: "Do you believe that the Bible is the infallible word of God?" The results of the survey were startling: 85% of the Presbyterian USA pastors said NO; 85% of the Methodist pastors said NO; 85% of the Episcopal pastors said NO; 55% of the Baptist pastors said NO; 45% of the Catholic priests said NO. (Source: Warner A. Bonner, Newsletter@LeadershipJournal.net) These are our "leaders," folks. Be concerned. Be very concerned. Christian Researcher, George Barna says of the American Church, "...new research supports our contention that the structure of the American church is already undergoing radical change. If you add up the proportion of people who will call the cyberchurch their 'church home', those who will align with an independent house church and individuals who will be steadfastly unchurched, within the next 15 years a majority of Americans will be completely isolated from the traditional church format." (There are many church organizations well able to support existing ministries of each genre rather than attempt to launch their own from scratch. Hint. Hint.) According to a study released 12/23/01 by the Pew Internet and American Life Project, while Americans flocked to their synogogues and churches after 9/11/01, one out of four adult American Internet users, roughly 28 million, have sought out religious or spiritual information online since that infamous day. I can attest to this. More than 3 million U.S. adults find religious information online EVERY DAY, up from 2 million last year. That's more than use the Internet for gambling, banking or trading stocks! Sixty-nine per cent of those engaged in religious activities online search for educationalor reference material, 50% research other faiths, and 35% seek spiritual advice through eMail. Forty-one percent said they sent or received eMail prayer requests. Seven percent made contributions online (unfortunately, I cannot attest to this stat). As a man with an eMinistry, I don't see this "Church Exodus" as being a bad thingat all, for I've witnessed the fruit of CyberChurch and it's quite bountiful! No, I'm not advocating that we stop face to face fellowship. Perish the thought! We need each other. We are a Body fitly joined. But for those who need specialized attention - and the statistics reveal there are MANY, including the shut-in, the handicapped, the shift worker, the spiritually shipwrecked - I liken CyberChurch to Christ reaching the masses from town to town, in fields and on beaches, in the market, or wherever people gathered who would listen. Even if they must gather electronically. The Lord could have erected a church building after the Sermon on the Mount but He chose to minister while making disciples in preparation for the harvest to come (no farmer harvests his crop without a barn or a silo in which to put the harvest - otherwise, it rots on the ground). The Western Church must learn to use today's information technologies in conjunction with our postmodern orientation, to serve the greatest number of unchurched people possible in the most nontraditional and non-threatening ways. In other words, like Moses with his staff, God used what Moses had on hand at the moment, coupled with Mo's willing spirit. In the third world Church, they use things such as wind currents to send Scripture-laden balloons across borders. They use flowing rivers to send the Gospel downstream in bottles. They get creative with what's available. Little is much in the hands of God. What do WE have available? The lowly computer is just one option. It's simply naive to expect our local professional ministers to do the job or to expect the unchurched to "come to church." After all, shepherds don't produce sheep; sheep produce sheep. It's pure fantasy to believe the world could be won by Christian TV, radio, or music either. The Christian entertainment world is a ghetto into which the mainstream rarely strays. I didn't, before I was saved. Did you? What arrogance to think that THEY should come seeking US! IS THERE ANY HOPE? Americans say they want revival! A poll conducted by Public Agenda, a secular think tank, showed that most Americans feel society would improve if people were more devout. 69% of the 1,507 U.S. adults polled in Nov. '00 agreed that "religion is the best way to strengthen moral behavior and family values." 74% agreed that "it is a bad idea for families to raise children without any religion." (Source: Tribune News Service, 01/10/01) Brennan Manning, author of "Ragamuffin Gospel," says, "Too many people are living in a house of fear and not in a house of love. In the past, churches have been wounders of the healers, not healers of the wounded." He explains, "Our huffing and puffing to impress God and our thrashing about to fix ourselves while hiding in our pettiness and wallowing in guilt are nauseating to God and are a flat denial of the Gospel of grace."
It's been said that Christianity is the #1 cause of atheism. We, ourselves, are to blame for this churchless faith phenomenon, resulting from years of misdirected church teachings and traditions. In its current state, we just don't stand up to the scrutiny of our critics. Only God Himself can get us out of the mess we've gotten ourselves into.
But that ALONE should inspire great hope within us all! NEW TESTAMENT CHURCH? Many years ago, a man visted my hometown of Arlington, Texas and was going about sharing what he referred to as "a revelation on the Church." Though he was way ahead of his time, the vision he shared for "how to have Church" was actually nothing more than what 80% of the Church was already practicing throughout the third world ... the ONLY places where Christianity is currently flourishing, and amidst persecution at that! Though all listened politely, behind his back he was mocked and belittled. And I held their coats, just as Saul did when they stoned Stephen, the first Christian martyr. By the way, this man was James Rutz, author of the hot, new book, MegaShift. Read it and you'll see why it's so hot! we laughed at him back then. In his book, Rutz chronicled more than a week in the life of his Church for the rest of us to enjoy. Fascinating and fun! Regrettably, though I've never journaled Church activities, his description reminded me so much of what I've experienced many times in the years since. He writes: What does the Church of Jesus Christ, our current part of the Kingdom of God, REALLY need to look like in order to delight her Bridegroom? Let's imagine a "helicopter's view" ofdaily life together as TRUE brothers and sisters in Christ. What would the Holy Spirit and a family of believers living in obedience to His Word look like today? What does the Church today, walking in God's presence and full of grace, look like? How can we recognize the Life of Christ, alive again today in His Body, the Church? It looks amazingly similar to the Life of Jesus in His physical body 2000 years ago!"
Here are 21st century nurses, restaurant workers, contractors, engineers, teachers, business owners and managers, carpetcleaners and secretaries - clothed in the garb of the teaching and Life of Jesus; a Church that was formed from His victorious death (Gen 2:21-22; Rev 5:9; Eph 2:11-22; 5:22-32). This is typical, natural Life in the Spirit of Christ. This is a touch of the Life God's Family is MEANT to have - where Truth touches individuals specifically in its gatherings. Meetings are filled with openness, faith-filled confession of sin, teaching, training, and praise in response to all that is currently happening. Disciples bring songs they've written, praise they're brimming with, chapters from books that have elevated or challenged them, video-teaching tapes that have been a catalyst for growth in them, and ten thousand other possibilities. God's Family is gathered, circled in barns, parks, hotels conference rooms, living room, apartment clubhouses, gymnasiums, or stadiums. Every barrier between God's Children is destroyed... This is The Church, the ekklesia (the "called out ones"), as expressed from Acts 2 to Acts 2002. There's real Life here. Accountability. Horizontal as well as vertical relationship. Face to face, and by any OTHER means available. Anopportunity to truly become "brothers and sisters"; the family of God. And an opportunity to expand the servant-base, empowering people so that even MORE disciples would be trained and equipped for making MORE disciples. THAT is the Great Commission, after all. There's power here, too, as the family walks in agreement. Power in prayer. Power to heal and deliver those who are oppressed. Power in miracles. And it draws people unto itself as "many will come and see and put their trust in the Lord." BELIEVERS ONLY Quite a few who receive the eMail broadcasts of "Your Town For Jesus" from t.e.a.m. ministries are of the "Believers Only" crowd, not belonging to any organized Church body for any number of reasons. Some actually refer to me as their "Pastor." Some even call me "Father." (Please, just call me "Michael." God does.) I've even been "accused" of being a "prophet." If you're one of these - or want to be - please listen: though you may not attend organized services held in a building with stained glass windows, you DO require SOME sort of Christian fellowship. Iron sharpens iron. "Do not forsake the assembling of yourselves together" still applies, even if your only form of regular gathering is here, on your computer. Bottom line: all God really requires is your heart-felt availiability in order to open the door for miracles in someone else's life... in person or not. Your worship of God is not to be limited to the Sunday sing-along. Nor is it about being entertained or "being fed" (Jesus said His food was in DOING the will of the Father). Worship is a lifestyle. To what do you give the majority of your time, energy, money? Careful, for this may have inadvertently become your God. Though church
attendance as we know it in the West is not biblically required (for the Church was never intended to be a building or an orgaization); Church existence is mandatory. In other words, BE the Church, don't merely GO to church. The real SERVICE of the Church occurs AFTER the Church service. Need pastoral counseling and prayer? By Peter Emerson Las Vegas is a city that has been handled the title of "the wedding capital of the world." There are over 100,000 couples that get married every year in Las Vegas or head to the city for renewing their wedding vows. This title has a lot to do with the wedding chapels. Las Vegas weddings are based on various themes, which bring out the ultimate traditional element with beauty and charm as well as the spontaneity and romance between the couples getting married. There are different types of wedding chapels offering different wedding ceremonial themes. Some wedding chapels in Las Vegas have a large area and are surrounded by beautiful lush green gardens, fragrant flowers, and crystal clear waterfalls. These chapels are popularly known as the Las Vegas outdoor wedding chapels. Most Las Vegas outdoor wedding chapels have acres of gardens with a peaceful and romantic oasis somewhere amidst the gardens, which is all decorated and kept private for the special wedding day. These outdoor wedding chapels normally feature old-fashioned wooden wedding gazebos or drive through chapels, which create a very cozy and unique ambience. Some of these chapels make the wedding day seem like a dream come true. Little Chapel of the Flowers offers an outdoor garden area with a gazebo, bridge, and waterfall while The Chapel of Love offers weddings in their outdoor gazebo, which is decorated with, twinkle lights.
